Dr Amit Chatterjee is a Post Graduate Medical doctor with over 34 years’ experience in Clinical medicine and Public Health. His areas of expertise include Hospital and Health Systems Strengthening, Healthcare and Social Sector Reforms, CSR strategy, Project conceptualization and planning, Project Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Impact Assessment, Quality Assurance and Programmatic and financial due diligence amongst others. His subject areas of interest in the sector include Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health, Communicable and Non communicable diseases, Sanitation, Health Information Systems, Disaster Mitigation, Disability Limitation and Pro poor and Livelihood development. He was with the Healthcare and Social Sector Practice at KPMG India initially as Technical Director for four years (2012-2016) and presently with KPMG Advisory Services as Senior Advisor. His prior appointments include, Director (Health) at IPE, Global, Project Director of the PACT Project of the Govt. of India, and Program Officer Rounds IV and VI, Global Funds (GFATM) with the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) , Min of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India. He has also served in the Indian Armed Forces for over 20 years and has been commended thrice by the Government of India for meritorious service in conflict zone and for professional excellence. He is an alumni of the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.
