Sanjay Pandey is a seasoned WASH and Solid & Liquid Waste Management (SLWM) professional with over 25 years of extensive experience working across national and state governments, multilateral agencies, and leading development partners. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as UNICEF, World Bank, PwC, IPE Global, Department for International Development (DFID), Global Sanitation Fund, and the Ministry of Jal Shakti, contributing to transformative sanitation and waste management initiatives across India.
Currently, he serves as Senior Program Manager cum Lead Consultant (SLWM) with the India Sanitation Coalition–FICCI, where he provides strategic and technical leadership under SBM-G Phase II and the Lighthouse Initiative. In this role, he works closely with government stakeholders and CSR partners across geographies to design and scale sustainable sanitation models that are impactful, replicable, and aligned with national priorities.
Sanjay brings deep expertise in program design and implementation, policy advisory, institutional strengthening, capacity building, and the development of effective IEC/BCC strategies. He has a strong track record in knowledge management, multi-stakeholder coordination, and supporting government systems to ensure long-term sustainability of WASH interventions.
Recognized for his strategic vision and field-level insight, Sanjay has consistently delivered measurable, community-centered WASH outcomes at national, state, and grassroots levels, driving systemic change and advancing India’s sanitation and waste management agenda.
