The ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards is a flagship event in the sanitation sector and has established itself as a leader in this sector at a national level since its inception in 2017. The 10th edition of the ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards 2026 will honour organizations and individuals working on the best practices in the sanitation space, supporting WASH financing, and transforming sanitation across India. These prestigious awards are supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, further enhancing their credibility and impact. The awards recognize those driving positive initiatives to create a cleaner, healthier, safer, and more equitable nation. Beyond offering recognition, the ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards act as a key catalyst for change, showcasing exceptional work in the sector while opening new opportunities for investment and business growth.
This year marks the 10th edition of the ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards, a milestone that underscores our decade-long commitment to advancing sanitation in India. Over the past eleven years, ISC has grown significantly, not only in terms of the impact of its initiatives but also in shaping the conversation around sanitation. These awards continue to honour outstanding contributions from a diverse array of sectors, including corporate initiatives, non-profits, government bodies, and grassroots organizations, as well as highlighting innovations in plastic recycling and waste management. As we mark a decade of these awards, they stand as a testament to our continued commitment to advancing a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable India.
The 2025 edition recognized winners from nine categories. With over 100 entries received, it was a remarkable achievement, as both the quantity and quality of submissions stand out. One such notable winner is Ms. Gulshan Khan, our Women Changemaker in Sanitation Leadership. Working in the slum communities of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and supported by FORCE NGO, she has united residents, NGOs, and authorities to transform waste management for 21,000 households, touching 1.66 lakh households citywide. Today, 97% of them practice waste segregation, and waste collectors enjoy sustainable livelihoods through user fees. Gulshan has not only built systems-she has built leaders, multiplying the power of women in community transformation. One of other awardees - BOSON White Water (BWW) converts treated wastewater into potable-quality water through advanced processes and IoT-enabled monitoring through a decentralized model. Their pay-per-use model makes sustainable water management viable for housing complexes and industries, while reshaping India's urban water economy and reducing our dependence on freshwater. This is innovation with vision, ambition, and impact.
For more than a decade, the ISC has been at the forefront of advancing India’s WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) agenda through collaborative partnerships with government institutions, civil society organisations, corporates, and community leaders. United by a shared commitment, these stakeholders work collectively to address critical sanitation challenges across the country.
Over the years, the awards have been transformative for past recipients, enhancing their credibility and visibility while catalysing funding opportunities, strategic partnerships, and sector-wide collaborations. By spotlighting scalable and practical solutions, the awards continue to inspire progress and promote sustainable sanitation outcomes across communities.
As we commemorate the 10th edition of the ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards, the 2026 edition is aligned with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat, recognising initiatives that contribute meaningfully to national missions such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Har Ghar Jal.
The ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards 2026 will honour winners across ten categories for the ISC-FICCI Sanitation Awards, incorporating the concepts of BUILD, USE, MAINTAIN, TREAT, REUSE, RECYCLE, and WATER to cover all aspects of WASH.
